It is unethical for an agent to put your house on MLS

Any real estate agent who suggests putting your house on MLS is being unethical.

Any agent who cannot reach REAL qualified buyers when not using MLS will not real REAL buyers when listed on the MLS. They will reach OTHER agents who ALSO cannot reach REAL qualified buyers.

MLS prevents your house from being searchable by Google and internet search engines.

Every realtor knows open houses do not sell houses. They are good for the realtors, not the seller.

Realtors who have no clients will often insist on an open house. That would be their only chance of ever getting any buyers, albeit a small to non-existent list. Very few serious buyers ever to go open houses. Instead set up normal appointments for private viewings.

MLS bans houses from showing on Google

MLS and National Association of Realtors do not like houses to be seen on the Internet. NAR/MLS bans google and the use of the internet for advertising.

"“Under IDX policy … participants have no authority to advertise those listings [from other participants] in any other way, including Internet search engines”"

Ethics in Real Estate - Real Estate agents are almost all bad.

Real Estate (sales) used to be old housewives' industry. With the real estate bubble during the early to mid 2000's you get tons of people who just want to get rich quick. Real Estate sales attract the wrong crowd.
