The Real Estate Agent - (repost from free world group .com)

(source freeworldgroup.com   .  funny bit....)

The Real Estate Agent

When I got out of college, I embarked on a mission -- to find a job doing nothing. It didn't matter what the job entailed, so long as it didn't entail responsibility.

'Your Open house is just a networking party for the realtor'

Every realtor knows open houses do not sell houses. They are good for the realtors, not the seller.

Realtors who have no clients will often insist on an open house. That would be their only chance of ever getting any buyers, albeit a small to non-existent list. Very few serious buyers ever to go open houses. Instead set up normal appointments for private viewings.

"...Your open house is really just a networking party for me.

MLS bans houses from showing on Google

MLS and National Association of Realtors do not like houses to be seen on the Internet. NAR/MLS bans google and the use of the internet for advertising.

"“Under IDX policy … participants have no authority to advertise those listings [from other participants] in any other way, including Internet search engines”"

Real Estate agents are almost all bad.

This is a good read. Most real estate agents are bad.

Real Estate (sales) used to be old housewives' industry. With the real estate bubble during the early to mid 2000's you get tons of people who just want to get rich quick. Real Estate sales attract the wrong crowd.

Our site ranks first in most internet searches (eg forest hills houses)

Our website ranks 1 in internet searches. Buyers (and most other real estate offices' agents) call us regularly from a simple internet search.

hm.. looks like rankings change regularly.
but at least first page.
