History of Forest Hills: about 14 billion years ago, our universe was created from a singularity. From there space and time expanded with a super symmetric space-time of energy. Over time energy symmetry was broken and energy condensed into elementary particles that subsequently condensed into hydrogen nuclei and others. The further condensation of these resulted in stars. These stars condensed into galaxies and out of which, one of them, the milky way is where we call our home. Amongst about 20billion stars in our milky way is our sun around which our planet earth orbits.
After sometime our planet cooled and skipping a bit, humans came about. Continents drifted or vice versa. Then native americans lived in what we called forest hills,(please email me if you know the particular tribes). Vikings came a few centuries before the other europeans. The europeans shot most of the native americans and here we are moving forward another few hundred years or so, Olmsted, Sage, Slocum helped built Forest Hills Gardens and neighborhood. The end.
Oh and current architectural style of Forest Hills is English Tudor. It's a shame in areas outside of the Gardens when people tear down historic homes and built these huge massive brick monstrosities.
